Elaine Yarbrough-Gaither is currently serving her first term as Council-At-Large being newly elected in the November 2007 election.

Mrs. Gaither and her husband has five children, fifteen grand-children, two great-grand children and counting.

Mrs. Gaither graduated from John Hay High School in Cleveland, Ohio where she received training in the business curriculum of the school. After graduation, she began her working career at Ohio Bell Telephone Company.

Mrs. Gaither eventually was employed in the government sector where her career spanned over 32 years. She served in such positions as Human Resources Benefits Specialist, Staffing Specialist, Classification Specialist, Equal Opportunity Specialist and Contract Management Specialist. These positions and the experiences derived from them prepared her for dealing with people and situations that occur in whatever endeavor she undertakes.

During her years of employment and raising her family, she recognized the importance of education. Her quest for higher learning took her to Cuyahoga Community College and Cleveland State University. She ultimately received a degree in Theology from Vision Bible College.

Mrs. Gaither was ordained in the Gospel Ministry as a five-fold ministry gift teacher where she served a Cleveland congregation of 2,000+ members for over 20 years as Church Administrator, Board Secretary and Treasurer as well as overseeing several of the ministries of the Church. Upon leaving that organization, she was installed as Senior Pastor of her current congregation of believers where she and her husband carry out the vision God has imparted to them.

Mrs. Gaither’s greatest attributes are working successfully with all types of people and organizations, with vision, objectivity and the ability to succeed in the face of adversity.
