Mrs. Hladky is a member of the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association (OMCA) and serves as President and Program Director of the North East Ohio Municipal Clerks Association (NEOMCA). She is also a member of the International Institute of Municiipal Clerks (IIMC) and is working toward her Certified Municipal Clerk distinction.

Mrs. Hladky is a member of the Southeast CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and serves on its Executive Board.

Mrs. Hladky's professional background includes Administrative Assistant and Finance as well as Free Lance Photographer.

Mrs. Hladky graduated from Aurora High School and attended Akron University.

Clerk of Council Duties:

• Attend and record all regular meetings of Village Council
• Transcribe minutes of council meetings
• Distribute electronic and hard copies of minutes to all appropriate parties and upon request
• Assemble Friday Packets for delivery to all Council Members
• Notify news media of upcoming meetings
• Place Legal Ads when necessary for Public Meetings and Public Hearings
• Populate the Agenda for regular meetings, work sessions and special meetings
• Maintain original ordinances and resolutions
• Distribute ordinances and resolutions to all appropriate parties and upon request
• Respond to Public Record Requests
• Take incoming calls and messages for council members
• Sort and distribute Council's mail
• Purchase Order requisitions
• Maintain and update Council Calendar
• Update Website
• Maintain e-mail list sending annoucements when appropriate
• Maintain filing system
• Communicate with Board of Elections on issues to be put before voters
• Contribute articles for local newspaper publication
• Create Council Newsletters for publication
• Other duties as assigned by council
